Greater Durability:
Polytin is made from polyethylene, a material which offers great strength while retaining the ability to "give" on impact. This design uses molds which specifically concentrate the strength, but prevent bouncing and flex. All of our new models come with snout wear tips as well as stainless steel wear strips. Polytin parts will last longer, look better and out-perform OEM steel replacements.
Weight Reduction:
Polytin's use of polyethylene also reduces weight. The tremendous benefits of lowered weight are evident not only in greater manueverability, but also lowered maintenance costs on the combine itself.

Less Downtime:
The incorporation of wear tips and wear strips as standard equipment adds great longevity to the Polytin itself. But one of the most important benefits of the Polytin unit is quick, easy access to other mechanical areas of the head. The quick release pivot design allows full access to the gathering chains, eliminating hassles in the field. The single pin is quick - but still provides a secure assembly which prevents accidental release.
Efficient Crop Harvesting:
Polytin's design provides for faster maintenance in the field. Polytin is also manufactured from a material that inherently provides for better crop harvests. OEM steel will often plug up in conditions where Polytin will continue to perform without problems. All of which translates to dollars in the pocket. Polytin center row dividers are fabricated with ear savers as part of the design. The snouts provide for more efficient crop harvesting, but still retain the OEM look.
